THE LONGING

Don’t know how long,
But you make me wait,
In hope we’ll make it,
Before it’s too late.

Your mystic glance,
Moves me to a trance,
Try to recover,
But stand no chance.

And when I am lost in those eyes,
Time comes to a still,
Seems like you are the one,
That I only will.

You leave me confused,
With your mysterious smiles,
And comprehending them,
Is like walking miles.

This misery is taking a toll,
My future is on a roll,
Don’t deny me now,
Keep the doors ajar,
Let’s go on a clandestine journey,
Afar and under the stars.

This life will not happen again,
Don’t wait for fate,
And let’s make it,
Before it’s too late.
